Hostel (wardens and office)
Setting up (Operator)
In Dashboard → Hostel:
- Settings → Words used on screen. Rename hostel, room, bed and the rest to match your school (for example Room → Dormitory). Your words appear on every screen, in the parent app and on receipts.
- Blocks and rooms. Add each block and its rooms with the number of beds.
- Wardens. Assign staff as wardens. They then see Hostel in their own portal.
- Residents. Allot students to rooms and beds. Hostel fees can be linked through Fees.
Warden's daily work
The tab names below are the defaults. If your school renamed them in Settings, you will see your school's words instead.

| A student going home or out | Hostel → Out-passes: approve the request, then record when they return |
| Someone visiting a resident | Hostel → Visitors |
| Room change (office) | Dashboard → Hostel: move the student to another room or bed |
Parents
Parents see their child's room, the warden, roll-call results and visitors under Hostel in the parent portal, and can ask for an out-pass there.
